Giclée…not your standard art print.
Giclée refers to a method of fine art print production developed in the late 1980s in which modern inkjet printers could be used to manufacture high quality prints on a variety of paper, canvas and vinyl substrates. The term has grown and evolved over the last 3 decades as the technology and materials have improved to include modifications on the original technique, but it is still used to denote only very high quality prints that would be impossible to achieve with your standard home printer. I’m fortunate to live and work in Nashville where I have access to a world-class print shop that carries the Hahnemühle Certification which allows me to provide color reproduction and quality that would rival any professional shop in the world.
