Nashville’s Parthenon
This painting was part of an exhibition held by the Centennial Park Conservancy and The Chestnut Group, a local nonprofit organization of Plein-Air painters. I love painting outdoors and throughly enjoyed the chance to join this group in capturing Nashville’s iconic Parthenon. As a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens, our version currently serves as an art museum but was originally erected in 1897 as part of the Tennessee Centennial Exposition.
